PostSubject: Entry #36 - Collected Item #4 - The Memorial Painting.   Entry #36 - Collected Item #4 - The Memorial Painting. EmptyFri May 31, 2013 7:45 am

Designation: Memorial.

Description: The artefact is a painting encased in a wooden frame, it bears the title of “Memorial” underneath the canvas. The frame has clearly been eaten away by time however the faded colours suggest that it had been coated with a thick golden paint. The canvas itself bears several different elements in faded colours depicting the attack of the Charr upon the Nation of Orr, while in another scene what can be assumed to be several priests and Scholars in a ritual site, clearly affected through time and exposure to the harsh conditions of the Orrian continent, possibly the submerging.

Acquisition: In the caves underneath the Temple of Eternal Radiance within Orrian soil, Acolyte Eldor Darkblaze has sought to retrieve this painting. In accordance to him, it was buried near the location of a crypt upon which Ravoc then disappeared. Eldor has since then returned the painting to be studied.

Powers and Abilities: At first, there is seemingly nothing special in regards to the painting. However, there seems to be traces of a faint echo of mesmeric magic upon it. Upon further observation, it is noticeable to see slight changes and alterations in the picture as time goes by, namely in the expressions which the characters in it depicted bear. Some of them seem to be moving closer to one another as well, though the purpose of this it is not yet seen.

Addendum: Upon extended observation over a constant period of time, I have come to understand that the scene depicted is shifting to accommodate yet another scene. It’s as if the memorial of this scene is the preparation for the chain of events which led to Orr’s destruction. If that is so, then it may be interesting to consult it for further insight as to what really occurred in the Orrian soil the night the nation sunk.

Location: Currently held within Lion's Arch's Menagerie within posession of the Brotherhood. Access to it is restricted to the Scribes of Naught and the Laughing Dancers for subsequent study.
