Description
Isadora is a slender woman, her movement strangely graceful even in the strangest of conditions, almost flowing. Her large eyes are bright emeralds which shine from amidst her long, fiery hair. Her lips are usually painted bright red, her eyes lined in black to further enhance her eyes. She wears no forms of powder on her face as her tanned skin already lends enough colour. Her voice is usually gentle, rarely does she show rage which changes her words to quiet, hate fuelled whispers. At other times, her voice is strangely distorted as if two people speak at once.
Her clothing is brightly coloured but in a way that brings out the colour of her eyes, hair and skin. Beneath her long train, she hides an axe that's rather out of place with the rest of her attire. Her midriff is usually exposed, showing off a pierced stomach from which hangs a silvery chain with a reddish hue which in turn is attached to the clothing on her hip. She always wears heeled boots which never seem to encumber her. She runs as easilly as she walks in them and they click quietly on harder terrain. Her brightly coloured staff is topped with a glass flame that flickers in the dark, seemingly enchanted.
Background
Isadora is a mixture of Krytan and Elonian. While her father was a travelling merchant from Elona, her mother was of Krytan blood. Meeting at market one day, the rest is history! Isa has always desired to visit her fathers home but with the sudden loss of contact and closure of the region, this was never possible. Her patience finally ran out and she grew tired of idling in the Reach. She would climb atop the highest locations and watch the people scurry about their mediocre lives, unaware of what went on outside of the city. Her mind firmly made up, she stole into her mothers library, a collection of common books and rare tomes that she'd amassed over her long lifetime. Finding a book that seemed to meet her requirements, she left as silently and swiftly as she'd entered.
She knew nothing of the dangers of rituals, the Mists or anything in between. But her firm resolve urged her to carry out her plan. For many nights, she planned her ritual. It seemed easy on paper, she'd summon up a spirit, make a pact and she'd have the power to do as she pleased. Unfortunately, she was never trained in any form of magic and did not realise the importance of wards or protection. The ritual summoned up a demon from the Mists. Fortunately for Isadora, it was as power hungry as she was. Intent on taking a body for its own, it granted her the power she asked before it threw itself at her. Suddenly charged with the demons power, Isadora was able to 'bend' the demon to her. Although it now resided within, it had given her the strength to control it. With her new companion came new knowledge - Isadora quickly learned how to wield her magic and continues to learn new tricks to this day.
She quickly ingratiated herself with a few of the Wheel's other members, coming across as kind, charming, dangerous or a mixture of the three.
Thanks to a conversation with the First Gun, she now skips down the path towards immortality, leaving casual genocide in her wake.
Personality
Isadora is charming and friendly on the most part. Always smiling and waving in greeting, she gets along with almost everyone. On the off chance that she finds someone unbearable, her words turn snarky and venomous towards them. She greatly enjoys practising her spells and learning new things, though she has a slightly morbid fascination with making corpses explode. She has been known to turn suddenly bashful and shy when propositioned by anyone in the group, as her previous ways of dealing with this involved removing the offending male from the land of the living.
Recent Events
A new addition to the Wheel, Isadora managed to keep her possession a secret for the most part, only informing Hans upon finding him in Lions Arch. Enjoying the company of some of her new allies, she'd kept it a secret and was weary of them seeing her in battle. Upon transferring Dee's injuries to Dathryn after losing her temper when Dathryn mocked her, she informed him later and was relieved to find that he wasn't driven off. With a great weight off her chest, she's quite happy to socialise regularly with the rest, though she favours Eloise and Dathryn.
Character Relationships
Ashrael Shadaar: Isadora is pleased that the Prophet takes action rather than sit around. She finds his constant calmness amusing and enjoys seeing how he reacts to different things.
Hans Veltheim: Hans is viewed as a mobile turret that has been equipped with superior melee capabilities. This amuses her and she enjoys watching the different ways he can kill a target in battle.
Eloise Decker: The calm one of the group, Isadora is pleased to find normality amongst the brotherhood. While currently embarrassed in her company, she enjoys their conversations.
Dathryn Valentine: She greatly enjoys Dathryns company, even becoming something of a tag-team insulting partner. A bad-influence, but an intelligent and noble one.
Annalee Jenkins: While she finds Anna unbearably odd, she enjoys the tea that she provides the group. She secretly wants to try her fancy 'hat' on.
Naamah: One of the few people that Isa would like to smack, though purely because she threatens Dathryn. She doesn't actually hate her, she just finds her an amusing target who fights back.
Ravoc: Another target of her snide remarks, she finds Ravoc to be a good sport in the constant bickering between Dathryn and Naamah. | |
